Rutle Toasters were merchandising equipment sold to teens in the early 60s. The idea of the equipment was to warm bread, sometimes even to the point of slight scorching. In some cases, substitutes for bread could be used, such as Pop-tarts, buns, and in extreme cases, bagels.
