"Shangri-La" is a song and a single released in 1968, It was re-released in 1996 in Archaeology 1. The song was performed live on The David Frostbite Show, which aired on 8 September 1968, long after the single had been made available. In the US, the single was released under the name of Hey Dude.

BackgroundEdit

Dirk McQuickly first wrote this for Ron Nasty's son, Sharn. The song was originally titled "Sharn-La", till it was changed to "Shangri-La" as Nasty nearly sued McQuickly for using his yet-unborn son's name.
